Hey there.

My name is Rachael Maddux and I'm a writer and editor living in Atlanta, Georgia.

My essays, reviews, and features have appeared in The Oxford American, The Paris Review Daily, The Believer, Guernica, and elsewhere.

By day, I'm a writer and editor on the marketing team at MailChimp. In a former life, I was an editor at the Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine and, before that, at Paste Magazine. In 2010, I was a finalist for a National Magazine Award in Reviews & Criticism. I used to write about music but not so much anymore

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and graduated from Oglethorpe University. Now I live in a little old house with a dude named Joe and a dog named Charles Darwin.
